Structures Technician (sheet metal)

The Aircraft Structures Technician is responsible for performing inspections, repairs, modifications, and corrective work on the structures of commercial and regional aircraft, ensuring structural integrity, flight safety, and compliance with airworthiness standards and current Mexican regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform structural repairs on the fuselage, wings, empennage, and structural components in accordance with structural manuals and approved technical data.
• Perform sheet metal work, skin work, forming, riveting, and assembly of aeronautical structures.
• Inspect structural damage resulting from corrosion, fatigue, impacts, or operational events.
• Determine repair methods and scope in accordance with the manufacturer's Structural Repair Manual (SRM).
• Measure, lay out, and fabricate structural parts according to technical specifications.
• Use aeronautical tools, equipment, and materials safely and correctly.
• Accurately document all structural repairs performed in technical records and logbooks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical control procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and quality personnel during inspections and aircraft release.

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician.
• Proven experience in MRO environments.
• Experience with commercial aircraft and regional jets.
• Valid AFAC Class II License – Sheet Metal and Skin Work (mandatory).
• Knowledge of aeronautical regulations.

5 years of experience in major maintenance;
valid AFAC license;
own toolbox;
intermediate spoken English.
